It is pretty sturdy and has no problem (so far) supporting two adults, two dogs, and two cats at the same time (total weight of 400 pounds). It cost us about $350 (as of august, 2009) to build this bed. This is a queen bed, but the dimensions given in the video can always be sized up or down depending on what you need.
